The situation is making me depressed?!

Question: My friend is transfering schools soon, and I'm having a tough time dealing with it. He is my best friend, and this is a very painful situation for me. His new school isn't far, and I know I would see him all the time, but I just cannot imagine my high school experiance without him. It's impossible to even begin to think about not having him there. He's the only one in this whole world who understands me, but in this situation I really cannot talk to him. The whole situation is making me depressed, and since I have no one to talk to I keep it inside, which is making me emotionally ill. I do not know what to do. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you don't do so already, consider journaling to get out your feelings. You can't really do anything to make your friend not transfer schools. But what you can do is try to look out for your mental and emotional well being. LiveJournal.com is a nice, community-based site where you can journal. Journals can be set up with various privacy settings ranging from totally private to totally public. Just take some time and write about how you feel. Just getting them out of your head will help out a bit.

You can also try to meditate to help relax.

Just tell him how you feel you know its not going to make him change his mind about going to a diffrent school but sooner or later you will get over it.

Keep talking. It helps. Your lucky hes not moving far away, is there any chance you can be bussed to his new school? Hes still your friend and will always be, be grateful for that, and talk talkk talk , it gets easier.

Sweetheart, I can relate. For me it's impossible to even begin to think about not having him here. He's the only one in this whole world who understood me, but in this situation I really cannot talk to him. The whole situation is making me depressed, and since I have no one to talk to I keep it inside, which is making me emotionally (and probably mentally) ill.

Not to trivialize your situation, but to hopefully have you put it into perspective.

My friend died on Christmas Eve.
