I actually read an article in a magazine about this the other day. You may want to limit your caffine intake or your sugar intake during the afternoon also taking a shower and dimming the room no t.v's on and no bright lights helps you relax. Also exercise daily if your schedule permits. This also might sound weird but it was in the article also...sleep with socks on it said that this emits the body heat more evenly and you tend to relax easier and get a good nights sleep. If your alarm clock has a blue or green light for the numbers make sure you turn it around b/c even though you are asleep your brain wakes up to these light colors. I have tried sleeping with socks on and it has helped. Right now only getting a few hours of sleep may not seem to be a big deal but statistics show that long periods of this can cause health problems in the future such as hypertension and diabetes and also obesity. Try a few of these and see if something helps. Good Luck!

I can't sleep either... sucks doesnt it
but exercise during the day helps

Pop some pills.

I completely understand, it is absolutely awful putting up with this. Try some of the regulars of camomille tea before bed, a nice long soak in the bath with lavender oil before bed, exercise early on in the day, writing any worries you have down on paper beforehand or/and try some relaxing exercises to relieve tension which you'll be able to find on search.
If none of these seem to work then talk to your doctor, they're very helpful.
Once you get back on to a regular sleeping pattern then you'll be amazed at the difference with everything

take melatonin from gnc to put you to sleep. its only $3

Talk to your doctor about a pill called Trazodone 50mg. Its a very mild anti-depressant which is commonly prescribed as a sleeping pill. I'm very sure that if you take one before you go to bed, you'd be out like nothing.
