E.M.D.R. Treatment - Headaches?!
Question: Im having headaches after recieving emdr treatment.
Ive only had a few sessions, and have had alot of time between them, as my therapist is giving me plenty of time to recover, so hes responsible.After this weeks session ive had massive headaches.Is this normal? Btw im having emdr to recover memories. Thanks for all the replys.

E.M.D.R. therapy is very controversial. Many do not believe the eye movements are necessary. It's use of elements of the more traditional psycho-therapies (which I know do work) may be the reason for its' apparent success. My "take" on this is, how could it result in physical "massive" headaches in such a short time (?) and if they are and continue to be a problem it is probably due to your unconscious mind worrying about the high cost of the therapy!
