you need to see a doctor!! i don't know how old you are, but you can probably schedule an appt and go alone if you are concerned about your family finding out. this is serious. eating disorders can cause a multitude of physical problems that can ultimately lead to death, and the heart problem could be a warning sign. bring this up with your therapist. have you talked about the assault with him/her? this is important!

See a theraphist. Maybe try to not cut yourself or starve yourself but use these emotions to do something else like, painting or music. Either one allows you to relax and have fun.

Speak to the doctor and most of all, look after yourself. If your religious, pray to god

There is no easy solution to sexual assault, not cutting and nor will not eating. I have pondered cutting and done the not eating a few times. I still have boy size cloths hanging around.

The fact is you need to find someone to talk to, I have seen some of your Y!A postings and you are not going to get the real help you need in this forum. I gather talking to family and friends is out, fine. But doctors are in, it does not have to be the family dr, it can be any doctor you pick in the phone book and can get too.

If you cant talk, that I understand as well. Then write, write down on a page or so what happened (just generally) and where you are at. Give that to the dr with the briefest introduction. Then let the dr read it. The dr will help you move on, see a therapist, maybe some meds to help you get some interim peace, whatever it takes

But you need to do this, you need to make the appointment. Please do it, at 22 you have too many years ahead of you to spend them all being in pain and misery.

Be safe, be sage

PS my heart is always erratic, so I cant help you on that score. Been taking meds for it since I was a kid.

Intense stress can cause chest pains. Or it can be muscle cramps. Do you exercise? In your situation, it may be tough to have the motivation to look after yourself properly, be it in eating or exercising. Friends will help a lot in this regard. Go out with your friends to eat. Find a regular exercise partner.

Frankly, it is better to be safe than sorry. I'd suggest you go for an ECG (electrocardiogram) test. It is not cheap, but also not too expensive, and it is fairly reliable.

its a serious thing! but u should try to come out that means share ur feelings to any of ur close and try to come out

see and tell me

first accept that you do have a little emotional problem. but don't worry, this is a norm after going thru the assault.i guess you do need a therapist asap. do heed his/her advice and you prob need to see a doctor and have a health check so that you will be properly medicated.
chances are you probably fell sad and down always. a depression may be the reason behind your cutting up of yourself and the eating disorder.
the sudden improper diet that you have been on may be the reason for the chest pains.have a better diet and engage yourself with a healthier activity like afternoon walks. don't start with a rigorous activity, take it slow...otherwise, your weak heart may cause some problems.
finally, always remember that you are not alone. go to the net and join an on-line community and chat up with people who have similar experiences . also, open up to your love ones such as your family members who are much older than you. no matter how big the generation gap is or whatever problem you have with them, your family members will surely give you the support needed to overcome it all. get them to accompany for the doctors visits and stuff. you don't have to go thru this whole thing alone.
be patient and live life to the fullest.remember, there is always other people who are in a worst situation than you.

Please go and see a medical doctor; you need to have an ECG and be checked out.

Yeah your heart is definately affected through your not eating, but usually when you get extremely thin. So thin that there is no more fat cushion surrounding the heart. You may want to look into a potassium supplement. I know that low levels of potassium can make the heart act funny. Definately make sure you are taking a multi-vitamin as well. If you carent going to eat then do what you can to maintain some sort of mineral/vitmin intake. Its good that you are seeing a therapist. Does he or she know that you havent been eating. Maybe you ought to let them know. Are you on any meds? I knoe fluoxetine is often prescribed for this reason. If you arent then maybe you should consider trying it out. I hope everything works out for you.
