Do you think i have Body Dysmorphic Disorder.?!

Question: I feel like I am not pretty at all. But people tell me otherwise.

I read up on this and I'm not sure if I have or not. I see something hideous in the mirror, but do you think I could have a disorder that distorts my vision?

I just asked a question about feeling stuck in the wrong body.

Have you personally gone through this or met someone with this disorder? Can it be solved through therapy or what?

perhaps or just low self-esteem.

You look fine, very pretty. It can be got over with counselling, but you really have to change the way you feel about yourself.

Or do what I do, and avoid all mirrors and photos. If i never see myself looking ugly, I can believe that I don't.

You're absolutely beautiful!

You really should get some counseling, because you're very, very good looking, and it looks like you have a nice body too.
There are not many guys who would not want to date you, at least based on your looks.
You need to stop having these kinds of thoughts about yourself, really. If you can't do it on your own, then go to counseling.
There are so many ways that different girls are pretty, so you should not be looking at particular celebrities, or whatever, to judge beauty by.

I think you are way too obsessed with your looks! I think you look just fine. I do not think that you are the prettiest, but guarantee you could make a few girls jealous. Also, when some girls have awesome personalities, it sort of pushes all their flaws aside...

I'm not sure the diagnosis is that important. It's more important to deal with your thoughts and your feelings. No you're not hideous.
Yes, psychotherapy by a social worker or psychologist can definitely help you with this.

no
