How can i stop being a procrastinator?!


Question: i have tried an itinuary, schedule, i suck in having a routine and following it, i want to loose some weight at least 20lbs, i want to do my homework on time, but i just cant see my self starting on it, although if i start i can finish.

Recently i have been feeling down, like my body is heavy, and because i feel heavy i have no motivation, for your curiosity i am 5"5' and 173lbs.

What can i do?All answers are welcome?

basically...procrastination is the other end of the spectrum of motivation. Procrastination is easy...motivation takes work. you have to MAKE yourself do stuff. give yourself small rewards...liek if you were training a dog...train yourself. Write out a list of things you need to do when you get home from school each day in your last class. that may include homework and a workout as well as a favorite tv show and haning out with friends. I know that you know what of thoes things are most important...so you say...ok. No tv until i finish my hw. and no food until an hour in. after that you can work out, and dinner after. You then reward yourself with the rest of the ngiht as your own, beign able to hang out with friends play video games and watch tv. You have to look at how much less stress you will feel if you get your work done early. at first it may take you longer to do your work because you havent waited to the last minute, but you will get used to it, and be done quickly soon. I know its hard to stick to a schedule, but if you ahev people around you tell your mom your plan and have her help to motivate you. i know its hard, but if you dont nip this in the bud now it will last forever. lastly...i am a big schedule makeer, but sometimes i slip too...it happens, so dont get down...but you want to try to stick to it as much as possible. good luck

I am a procrastinator. It sucks!

it's probably depression or ADD...it happened to me...now i take Prozac and Ritalin....I'm so much more motivated now and get things done with pleasure and i feel much lighter especially in the morning

Do things for 10 minutes at a time, and then increase as you get better.
