Suicide hotline?!

Question: Is it true they will wheel an ambulance after you? What else do they do? How is doping you up on drugs going to help you?

Some real answers thanks - probably will end up deleting the question because 80% of the time the answers are not answers but random rants people make to indulge in their own bullSH*T

Thanks - real answers and I will keep it posted!

They only call the ambulance if they cant talk you into changing your mind

And they cant just let some one off them self or they would be held Legally responsible.

I've called 1800 suicide when I needed help before. And no, they just talk to you for awhile, give you ideas of how to solve your problems.
I did call a smaller city hotline once, and they traced the call to my house and the cops were there before I knew it. They took me to a mental hospital where I was held for 3 days while they evaluated me, then sent home.

they will not do this unless of course you say you need one that will help you
you can be an annoyumous caller or you can be a true caller
they will drug you andput you in rebah and have you face your probles
dont kill yourself it is stupid and worthless
in a few years who is gonna remeber the kids who killed himself
exactly noone

I think they talk to you first to find out what they need to do - send an ambulance or have you see an outpatient therapist. If you're really feeling suicidal, either call 911 or go to your local emergency room.

I've never attempted suicide, so I would not know for sure what they do. But I think that if they find you in time, they take you to a hospital and (if you took a lot of pills) pump your stomach or (if you cut yourself) give you stitches or similar things... then they will, if you wake up and throw a fit, drug you to keep you calm. I think that technically the can force you into a mental facility for a bit. Mostly they drug you to keep you from doing anything to yourself again, and then the mental facility is supposed to help you.

I know you don't want to hear any rants, but if you are thinking about suicide, I've heard that almost 100% of the people who attempt it and live are thankful that they lived.

Some times the ambulance cant help you ,some times to late!!!!!!!!!!!!! They give same medicine to make you eliminate the poison but same times people suffer all their life with pain consequence and heart problems they wish not to be so stupid, but to late the damege was done!

If you are feeling like you want to kill yourself, call the hotline. The people on the other end are there to help you, and sometimes, just the phone call to a caring, neutral person can help. Depending on how you seem to them, the reaction may be instant, like sending an ambulance to the house and putting you in the hospital, if you say you slashed your wrists, or took a bunch of pills or something. If you are feeling very depressed, but not to the point of action, they will probably ask you if you feel like you would kill yourself tonight. If you think you can make it to the morning, and to make an appointment with a doctor, they may let you go with that, and followup by phone.

But whatever happens, a person who is considering suicide is a person who needs the help of others. Sometimes you may feel so exhausted and overwhelmed and depressed, that a few days of being sedated and getting a good rest, plus some counseling will help you on the road to recovery. Some forms of depression are so overwhelming, but fairly easily treated with medication, you can trust the medical professionals to know what to do.

I have been depressed enough to feel like ending it was the only way. Luckily, there were people there to help me. There are people there to help you, too. and I hope you ask for help.
