A lot of people have anxiety. There is a cure, shut the TV off and be still and read books or something like that. The advertisers want you scared and buying junk they are selling and trying to convince you that if you don't have their stuff then you are not with the program.
Most children go through separation anxiety at some point in their lifes. When it becomes a problem they should receive some help through either talk therapy and medications or a combination of both. It can be helped maybe even cured given enough time to work through the issues behind the anixety.
