Cymbalta causing extreme nausea?!

Question: i know one of the side effects of cymbalta is nausea, but mine seems really bad. its to the point where i dont even want to take the medicine. i just started taking it, does my body just have to get used to it? or am i supposed to take it with food? or could my dosage be to high?

when I started taking Cymbalta over a year ago, for about 2 weeks I experienced the sick to the stomach feeling, tiredness (no matter how much sleep I got, I was still tired), loss of appetite... yeah. Every once in a while when I take a Cymbalta now, sometimes my stomach will feel a bit weird.. I find it helps to eat something when I take a pill, that way my stomach doesn't feel weird or sickish.

I started at a 30mg dose, and 2 weeks later I was taking 60 mg. The side effects should ease off over time. Give it a couple of weeks or so, and let your body get used to the medication. You'll have to deal with side effects when you start taking any medications, really, until your body is used to the medication.
