Really embarrassing scenario I've gotten myself into.?!

Question: I just moved into my new apartment and everything was great for the first few days, but then one night I had an almost nightmarish experience where everytime I would almost go into a deep sleep I would detect a presence in the room that was trying to scare. Ever since then I've been obsessed with rearranging my bedroom furniture. I've moved my dresser-drawers and my nightstand, my bed, everything in that room has been moved around at least once. I can't seem to feel comfortable in there anymore ever since then. I know that it was just dream and there wasn't really a monster in there trying to hunt me down, but it has left some angst in the back of my mind. There are times when I'm fine to go in there and just watch tv or play on the computer, but I always end up looking around and reassessing the layout of my bedroom. I get an empty feeling or something...anyway it's not a warm cozy feeling. Has anyone else been terrorized by your own mind and ended up in this situation?

Have you looked underneath your bed lately?

Stay out of your head! Jus means your thinkin too much lol, try to be a bit more in the moment and eventually you'll forget/ get over this whole thing :)

try sharing a few nites with a male companion u know security

it's probably just in your head, but i would try getting a dream catcher. you know, those spider-webby looking native american things that are supposed to catch bad dreams. it might help make you feel better.

i would look for hidden cameras and holes, especially if u r a female and live alone.
And stop watching scary things. I would ask for holy water at a church and put it on my bed , etc, i would pray and i would get light colored bed sheets, to make the room brighter. I would also just have a light on and be careful wat i did and if anything sleep on the couch if possible.

move to a new room in your apartment

You may just be having a difficult time adapting to change. Or there is something there. Not necessarily a monster...maybe more like a spirit or a ghost. I don't know if you're religious...but maybe if you wear a cross or something that you know will protect you. If you're not a religious person...just leave a night light on or maybe a low radio. Good luck!

It's OK to take a look every where when you go into the room.
In the closete, under the bed, every where. And leave a night light on to so you can see that burger. It's been 40yrs sense Vietnam and I still look under the bed before I get in it. And like
I have a clock in my head 12 midnight, 2am, 4am,. I getup check the whole house and look under the bed again. Do your checks until you feel secure. It's just the human mind dealing with fear.

you don't know for sure there is nothing there, now do you? Bwahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
