A recurring dream I have about 2-3 times a week. ALWAYS ends the same.?!

Question: I suffer from Chronic insomnia. Even with medication, I still only get 3-4 hrs sleep a night. (a good 1) On the other side of it, I stay awake days at a time. Like now, I've been awake since 01/18/08 @ 6:30am. Unable to "catch up". Can only get 5-10 mins 3-4 times so far. My ? is my dream. I can see the room, my wife, cats etc...and try to yell to get her to wake me. It seems like I'm touching her (or yelling loud enuff). But nothing comes out until I can finally get out a "moan" then a scream and she will calm me down. I never do wake just fall back "asleep". ***very cold feeling just before I "wake" She will tell me about it in the am, only then will I remember. I DO NOT do drugs (except for prescrbd) nor do I drink. This is more frequent and scares me a bit. TYVM

Well I am not sure I compleatly understand your dream. In it are you like hovering above her in bed, seeing yourself sleep as you are trying to yell.
Or in your dream are you sitting up in your bed(like that kind of view) trying to wake her. How does she calm you?

I can try to help you figure out the dreams meaning, just email me with the details.

it could be a side effect of the insomnia meds, or the effects of the severe lack of sleep. i would talk to your doctor about how little you have been sleeping and mention the dream also.

If you are in twilight sleep, you can learn to change your dreams.

Keep trying, you'll get the idea.

Listen here is all you gotz ta do...
1. Calm your self right now!!
2. Drink a glass of water
3. Try to think of the dream and at night think a good dream before you fall asleep like when you are relaxing while in bed,as in you are playing a game with your friends, then it will turn out a good dream but not the dream you exactly wanted at first
4. if you dind't like #3 then you could make a dream catcher it makes me feel pretty damn good!!
