Im so depressed i need god?!


Question: i am so depressed, im 18 lonely no real friends cos im a loser, boring life, no support in life in fact ive been brought down so many times. I am depressed im bawling as im typing. Nothing in my life is going my way everything is going horribly wrong im just fed up. Cant get proper sleep and when i do i wake up 2 hours eariler then usual. I go bed and wake up depressed. When i get sleep i wish i never woke up and i wish i was dead because i dont have no right to be here. Nothing is going my way arh i just dno. Only support and guidance i have is god and because of him im here today.

Believe me I have been through that kind of period thousands of times before and i know that I will still be. Yes God is the best way to let go of your burden. But you must do something also.

Yes, DO something. Something you like or just try a new thing. I also cannot sleep at night quite often and wanted to die for that many times. But then I prayed, and somehow He answered :).

I have quite bad acne that depresses me so much, but have hope and move on.

Move on!!!

Always, every morning I wake up, whether depressed or happy, I always tell myself: "Today will be a better day!" :)

Join the military and see if they can get you back on your feet in life. You'll travel and get to see many places of the world and you will defininetly make friends and meet new people in the military. Just "make sure" you pick a job that you want to do.

Edit: First of all I'm only a 19 yr old kid, living in Okinawa, who is going into the army as an infantryman because I don't like the direction my life is taking me right now, so I am trying to do something different in life. I was just sharing my father's (marine) experience in the military. I bet you've never even served in the military before CynCity or you probably enlisted with an open contract and let them put you where ever they wanted you. It helped my father get his life on the right track so I was just suggesting it. He doesn't have to join if he doesn't want to.

i KNOW all about these feelings you are going threw...I have tried to commit suscide so many times I can't count! It's nice that you have faith! So there is one thing you have! There are loads, and loads of people your age feeling exzactly the same thing! if you contact me we can chat about these feels together!

but if you want to get better, i would suggest to go out and ask people if you can hang-out with them. its not really that hard at all! and you'll find that there are tons of nice people in this world! remember, "love is patient love is kind..." 1 Corithians 13

We all go through this at some point. I'm married with 2 kids age 38 and I still go throught this from time to time. I feel alone even thought there are people around me. The best thing to do would be to get some counseling. I'm going through about the same things you are but you have god. I really have a hard time believing in a god or afterlife, so when I start having a painic attack about death it's really bad. But just to remember it could be a lot worse. Just think about other peoples problems and you will feel selfish for feeling bad about yours. Another thing is to find out what makes you happy and pull yourself together. Whatever makes you happy emerse yourself in it. Go to the library make sure there are people around you, hopefully that won't make you feel so alone. Start up converstaions with people. Keep yourself busy and hopefully that will help with your depression. But if you feel like harming yourself I would talk to someone, But if you think it could possibly be just for attention I wouldn't tell them that or else they will put you away. Doesn't sound like you need that just maybe talk with someone. Goodluck and remember we've all been there.

Ah hell na DO NOT join the military that will just make you even more depressed. That person must be a recruter and sees a weak person, they like to pray on the weak. But your strong so don't listen to that crap.

What do you see when you close your eyes? And what about when you open them? How dramatic is the difference? We are entitled to our fantasies. Indeed, we really ought to see them as essential to our well-being. What's the point of a life without dreams? It's true too, that some dreams are best left unfulfilled. They are more enjoyable in the imagination than they would ever be in reality. Yet every so often, we have to get a little of what we want, if only to maintain the tantalising illusion that the rest might just be attainable.

From what you just told us you are not a "loser" you just have a very low self esteem. The way to help yourself is an ego boost. By that I mean make new friends that have things in common with you, make yourself look better than you feel, pray to God (he always helps) and last but not least doing something you like to do.
