Has anyone gone to impatient treatment for depression, etc?!

Question: I went and didn't use the facility like I should've - I just hurried and said what was necessary to get released...has anyone done this? How are you coping now?

I haven't, but my brother has............and 20 years later, he is still there unfortunately............

I have used therapy - a lot of it - and have really made a great recovery. At first, I needed 5 sessions a week - similar to in patient - but now I go for a session every 3 - 6 weeks. It was tough, very painful, but soooooooooooooo worthwhile.

Exercise really helps too, as does a good diet, reduction in alcohol consumption, and as much as possible, being with people ,especially understanding friends................

You may have picked up vibes that lead you to leave....always trust your gut instinct, it is telling you a lot......but be brave enough to be honest..maybe you could write to the centre, and tell them the truth? It may do nothing for them, but it will set you free.........

CBT therapy works

Aye. 2002: two weeks in stay & four mos. outpatient care.

I had to go in for 3 days observation.
All it did for me was take 3 days away from my life and made me pay around $1800, not including the doctor's fees.

it works ,believe me ,, i was in the hospital 5 times in the last18teen years , get the help you need for the chemical unbalance that you have in your brain , there's people in there that are in the same boat,,,good-luck,,,

I did do this, used it the wrong way saying what they wanted to hear to get out and 4 months later, I was back in again. The second time I was being real about my feelings and what was going on and it really helped. If you aren't honest with them and yourself, they can't help you.
