Am I insomniac???!


Question: I have a problem of staying up way too late, and not getting enough sleep. It's hard for me to fall asleep, but once I'm asleep, it's impossible to wake me up. Basically I can sleep through anything. The thing is I have difficulties falling asleep and i always ten to stay up late. am i insomniac, or is it something else???

i have a problem to get to sleep as well,but i now find that if i take a 20min walk each nite and have a light dinner and only drink water after 7pm,i feel a lot better.I only sit at the computer for 10-15min intervals now,as i found it was way too active for me being on here.You should just turn off the computer at say 10pm and try and get relaxed.I dont think you are insomniac.If you are truely worried you can see a doctor.cheers :)

I'm the same way..It takes me forever to fall asleep my mind doesn't wanna stop and it doesn't help when u wanna see something on TV it usually takes me at least a hour to fall asleep and i wake up like 9 times during the night then in the morning it seems like i cant wake up..I guess some people just have horrible sleep habits

I just answered your othe Q and no your not, just stay off computer and stop drinking pop or caffine, stay active like working out and wake up early

yes your an insomniac. call your doctor and ask them to test you out. a lot of hospitals have sleep labs where they test your brain waves and see whats going on. or they might give you pills.

No, you are not an insomniac. An insomniac has difficulties falling and then staying asleep.

It sounds like your internal clock is out of whack.
I would suggest you see a dr or get an over the counter sleep aid.

I have the same problem. I go to bed at about 3AM and get up at 9AM. That's just not enough sleep. You might try a supplement at the drugstore called Melatonin. It's a natural substance and it makes me fall asleep like a rock.

Am I like you as well..I can't sleep early everyday but wake in the afternoon.I ask a doctor and he recommend me to drink warm milk.He said sleeping pill contains drug that can make you addictive.

No, you are an owl, there are three types of person, owls, who stay up late, larks who like to go to bed early and get up early and the majority who fit somewhere in between. I am an owl too, and find it very difficult to go to bed before midnight no matter how early I have had to get up. I have also suffered from insomnia and it was the worst time of my life, I was lucky to get more than 2 hours sleep in 24, I used to sit on the loo crying with frustration because I was so exhausted, I suffered halusinations and fell over a lot, lost my memory, I couldn't think, it was horrible. If you are sleeping well once you get to bed, I wouldn't worry.

its something else. cause no i dont think youre insomniac. what i think is that your clock is messed up. the clock in your body and yes it looks like one of those alarm clocks too. haha kidding. anyways do worry. its not good to be messed up . i know this cause i think my clock is messed up too.
