What would go thru your mind?!

Question: I'm very soft-spoken and somewhat shy, especially at work. I'm trying to open up more but still get shy a lot of the time. Today, while out at lunch with a few girls I work with, I was really quiet until one girl asked me about a concert I went to the other day. I think I mostly talked to the table (looking downwards), but I got really excited while describing it and started to talk energetically and pretty fast. Halfway into my description, I started blushing and then tried to wrap it up because I felt like I was rambling. I feel kind of embarrassed because I was blushing.

What would go thru your mind if you witnessed this? Do you think I annoyed them?

i doubt they were annoyed. they can probably tell you are shy and are trying to get to know you in a way that you will be comfortable with, because they are asking you questions about things you are interested in and all. i know how hard it is to be shy and socially anxious, and the best advice i can give you is to relax. even when it seems impossible, just relax. you are stronger and more fun/interesting/likeable/whatev than you give yourself credit for.

No, you did not annoy them, but you should not stress over who people percieve you. You are beautiful the way you are....don't feel pressured by anyone else and don't let someone else's perceptions define you.

I don't think you annoyed them. I think they were happy that you finally let them in a bit :) I wouldn't be surprised if they ask you more questions about it tomorrow, to see if they can get you talking and excited again! :D
