Childhood Amnesia?!
Question: My friend(15) has recently told me that she cannot remember ANY of her childhood...she says her memory is getting so bad that she can't remember things that happened when she was 13...
She has also experienced "flashbacks" ,as she calls them, in which some memories from her childhood have been remembered.
Does anyone have an idea about what's wrong?
She's getting a tad bit worried about it.

I have the same problem (I'm 34 now). My problem stems from 7 years in a cult. I can remember some elementary school, some middle school, almost no high school. I have problems placing people I've met say...6 months ago. I know the face but can't think of the name. It's very difficult. She might have had some traumatic experience you don't know about. She can work on improving her memory with counseling and memory exercises.
I have that problem. It's because I was severely abused by my mother and her boyfriends/husbands. I can't remember about 80% of my childhood.
