How can you tell if someone is paranoid?!

Question: What are the tell-tale signs? And how do you address it?

Answers: What are the tell-tale signs? And how do you address it?

Ive seen paranoids who quickly answer questions like, "Why? what are you asking me that for?"
A persecutory complex or feeling like others are against them or people are secretly plotting against them.
Paranoids are shuttered, closed in, quiet but hypervigilant (looking around, always aware).
I wouldnt test them but if you did: drop a pencil in a quiet room and see if they startle. You can also try slowly walking up to them, observe if they become annoyed or begin to shift uncomfortably.
Finally, there is nothing you can do to 'address it' unless they do something irrational or illegal to hurt themselves or others.
But, if you wanted to be a good person, you could try asking them questions about their feelings and trying to be a confidant. I think paranoids need a non-judgemental outlet. Offering unsolicited advice is not good. But, listening to them may be good for them and yourself if you are that concerned. Hope it helps.

Is this question about me? Are you talking about me again?

Stop it. Please don't keep talking about me!

looking around, not going places, not wanting to be around people, go to the dr.

They can be very self-conscious and yes, this dude's right, they're always worried about the slightest of things.
If they hear the faintest sound they'll start panicking about something that is either impossible of happening or very unlikely.
Very strange indeed.
Scary actually, if you think you're paranoid, try relaxing a little, it can be cured.

Firstly , just because you are paranoid does not mean that everyone is not talking about you. A good test for paranoia is for a group of you and your friends to stand about 20 feet from the suspected paranoiac , point towards him making exaggerated gestures accompanied with vulgar snigger,s. If he charges you with a hatchet then he is probably paranoid and you should call for an ambulance , BUT RUN FIRST.

Everyone else on the list didn't post this wiki link as they were waiting for me to do it.

They tend to go to the gym a lot where they are invariably rude to other members especially Persian/Iranian girls/women or kid themselves that they are wonderful guitarists -^^^-

They are suspicious, think others are talking about them, think something bad is going to happen, think people are plotting against them.

They may ask things such as what is your intent.

Paranoia isn't that much fun. I get it from time to time, and though I try not to let it interfer with things, somedays I cannot help it.
