How can I stop using Yahoo Answers? I am so addicted to this.?!

Question: I can't finish my work and this is ruining my life.

Answers: I can't finish my work and this is ruining my life.

time to stop the habit and concentrate on more important things.

me too...

take a hammer and ............

Disconnect the mouse, step away from the keyboard... If you like helping people then look up your local big brother/big sister organization or something similar, you might be surprised how much joy you get from that!

I just found how fun it is, too!

You can't stop an addition cold turkey. Your best bet is to replace it with another. Chocolate is always a good option, if you have time to burn it off later...

close the computer and go for a run. you posted this a few minutes ago. if you're still on, put on some shoes, turn off the computer and go running. you'd be surprised how much that can help.

if you live in the north, bundle up!

Oh my gosh, is not just me then. It's really bad, but I have an assignment due in tomorrow and should be also writing up my dissertation..... what am I doing here????

My boyfriend laughs at me cos it's so bad that I actually get to YA homepage without even realising (saaaaad). The things I do to avoid work! I have taken extreme measures recently, like switching off the wireless so I can do my work. Maybe i should do that now :s

Repeat after me:

"These guys don't really know ANYTHING. They are hanging around Yahoo Answers for the same reason I am: to avoid facing work and their feeling of inadequacy in life"... ;)

On a slightly more serious (?) note: if you are really hungry for answers... why not try formulating them - and answering them YOURSELF, as if they were somebody else's questions (even if you think that you have NO IDEA)?

You'd be surprised...! ;)

Step away from the computer.

Exercise a bit of self-discipline. YA limits the number of answers you can give daily so I'm surprised this is such a problem for you.

Remove all electronical devices from your house. Burn them.

lol, join the club.

Try to allow yourself to answer or ask only a certain number of questions/answers each day. When you finish your quota, think about the time you spent. How many hours have gone by? Then move onto something else you enjoy doing other than the computer. Good Luck
