How can you tell if someone is trying to get you to come out of your shell?!

Question: Especially if you are a shy, soft-spoken person.

Answers: Especially if you are a shy, soft-spoken person.

You have to guess that that is the case, and then you'll find out afterwards if that is the case.

This may help you because it helped my niece, who was also shy and soft-spoken. I told her that she was abandoning personal responsibility for her own happiness by failing to interact with other people. Think of all the opportunities to make good friendships that have been missed, and that you will continue to be missed, not to mention the opportunities for meaningful intimate relationships that you will miss as you grow older. She agreed that this was not a desireable outcome, and so I asked her what she would advise and do if instead of her we were talking about her son or daughter. At that point she could envision how she would feel if her son or daughter was failing socially and what she could and would do to help him or her.

This is what you have to do for yourself. You have to see how much you are missing through a different prism, and then you have to want to change into a friendlier and more sociable person to avoid the loneliness of an empty life that may well be your fate if you don't change.

You wouldn't want your son or daughter to be alone and lonely, so why would you wish that for yourself? Take a chance on other people instead of doubting them, and start having fun. Once you start down that path, you will find your life becoming radically better.

Good luck with everything.

I have two friends who are a little shhy, and I always try to get them to do new things. If somebody askes you to do something, like join the game of football, or go down the steep hill, you know that they want to have some fun with you, so dont be afraid to try something new, you might acually like it!
