Voices in my head when i get a sudden fright?!
Question: when i get a sudden fright ,i here voices of friends and family all talking at once in my head , like when driving my car, i have to brake sudden because of a dog or somebody in front of me braking sudden . i cant think straight and if im talking to somebody at the same time i cant concentrate on what they are saying to me or i cant answer them because i cant think straight , i have learned how to stop this by pinching my arm or biting my finger or so ,, what it seems to do, is makes my mind concentrate on the pain and then stops all the voices and i can then think straight again .. im wondering does anybody experience the same or could anybody tell me what it is and how its caused ...

usually hearing voices indicates psychosis. you may want to talk to a mental health professional about this.
