What is this head/body sensation? Or what could it be related to?!

Question: Sometimes I'll get this weird feeling come over me. My mind feels like it's going a million miles a minute but at the same time super slow, if I'm reading, talking or listening to something it'll be the same, feel like it's going so fast but seem so slow. In the meantime I hear noises. Sometimes it sounds like a huge crowd of people, I can't make out any voice in particular. Other times it just sounds like a rush of wind. I get a sensation that I'm floating but feel very heavy. I do have Depression and occasional ups and downs but they don't seem that drastic - my eldest brother is BiPolar, I don't know if it's 1 or 2 but he also gets these same exact sensations and we've both had them since we were little. There was no abuse, physical or sexual growing up. Can someone please explain this to me what it could be?

Bi polar does run in the family so you may want to be checked for it. If I had to guess I would say you or Obsessive Compulsive which would explain the obsessive thoughts and actions it would also cause High anixity which is why you are having panice attacks. That is what is happening when you hear everything but people are going faster yet slower. Its anixity and can also cause physical pain as well. OCD can also make you have conversations or hear voices. Because you are becoming overly obsessed with things. You may need to get a social life.
But you may also test for something like a type of teriettes syndrome or a multiple personality disorder. In this case it could be more serious. Either way it goes you need to talk to someone. go to a counciler or parent or teacher or even to a hospital. These things tend to just become worse and eventually can lead to fatality if not addressed. Sometimes these depression types get so serious it makes you believe you are invincible or even worse it makes you feel like you KNOW you must die. So Its pretty scary when your mind is working against you. I dunno if you have insurance or not but there are ways of seeing a doctor where you can pay later or even pay alot less.(sorry about the spelling) good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Sounds a little like borderline personality disorder.

I am not a doctor but is sounds to me like you better get to one right away. If it IS Bi Polar Disorder you may need medication. Hearing voices is often attributed to Schizophrenia which is extremely serious as well. BUT, like I said, I am NOT a doctor. PLEASE go to your doctor and get checked out!

i recommend you go to a doctor or psychiatrist and get their opinion

You should go to your doctor,in the meantime try posting in the health section.

well may be you need to do some praying and ask that you focus on one voice at a time you could be claravointe like Sylvia Brown I hope you get better and are able to figure these things/conversations out
good luck

I think it would be some kind of chemical reaction going on in your brain. It sounds like your brain is experiencing two different kind of stimuli at the same time.

Again, as people have mentioned before, it's best to ask for professional help on these kinds of questions, because an expert might not be reading this board at this time.

On another note, I find it interesting that our avatars have the same face/eyes colour/hairstyle. However, your background looks like a prison cell, and mine is a blue sky and a cloud, and a little pine tree.

An avatar is an extension of yourself. Sometimes it's how you feel, how you perceive yourself, or how you want others to perceive you.

Admittedly, I'm not sure what a pine tree and a blue sky means to me. But what do you think your avatar with a brick wall means to you?
