I'm taking these three antipsychotics. Am I doing okay?!

Question: I have been diagnosed with social anxiety, panic attacks, and bipolar disorder.

I take:
Seroquel, 100mg, before bedtime.
Lorazepam, 0.5mg, one tab twice daily
&
Lamictal, 25mg, in the middle of the day.

I feel the medications working fine. I feel much more calm, less afraid, and less worried about tiny problems here and there. I feel I can drive places without being mad or nervous.

Fantastic! As you no doubt remember, anxiety, panic and depression can be crippling. You don't want to be there again. If you think the medications are working, then they are. It's great to feel "normal".

Be sure to stay in contact with your doctor so that you can be properly monitored. There are plenty of medicines out there, and sometimes they need to be changed.

your fine be glad meds are working in small amounts i have to take about fourtimes the meds for simaler problem

sounds like you are doing just fine. Stay in touch with your psychiatrist and keep taking your meds.

Only one of those is an anti-psychotic, the Seroquel. Lorazepam is an anxiolitic and Lamictal is a mood stablizer. If the meds are working for you that's great. It can take a long time to find a combination that properly stablizes you.

good for you, sometI'mes it takes a long time for people to get on the right med,,, you sound great,,, thank god ,,, im on lamictal and also my oldest daughter bi-polars here,,, were doing great were both on 200mg a day seems to work for us thank god,

if you ever want to try a natural alternative kava, damiana, sam-e but its probably best to talk to your doctor about that good luck

fiVe said it right, only seroquel is an antipsychotic.

talk to your psychiatrist about it all, they're better to assess how you are doing than anybody on yahoo answers ;)

personally i found i developed a tolerance to seroquel really quickly - within about 2 weeks or so until i was put on my current dose (400mgs). so they may adjust them if you get the same thing going on.

glad you are feeling better :)
