How can I delete something from my brain?!

Question: Or forget something

Answers: Or forget something

There is no way to actually make yourself forget something.
The harder you try - the more you'll remember it.
Some drugs profess to aid in this - as do some forms of surgery - but they are all rather hit and miss. Personally I wouldn't go that route unless you wany NO brain left.
The only other thing is just to come to terms with and accept the memory - then file it along with all the normal things you file the rest of the time.

You can't....you will analyse it and analyse until you go mental and your head explodes.........

You can push the memory down or back so far in your brain that your conscious can't pull it up readily but I don't think you can delete any memory from your brain....it's stored all in there even what you hear while you are sleeping.....

Maybe a hypnotist could make you forget something that you didn't want to remember?

I don't know that you can... the best thing to do is to make new memories that will make the other one go on the back burner so to speak. I wish we could do that, that'd be hella cool. Good luck!

Do you have a Black and Decker power drill with an 8 inch masonry bit ?

you can delete nothing from your brain , its a computer,

Nice try, baby. Your brain isn't that simple, you can't just forget about something.

Maybe hypnotism could help, but personally I think it's all a scam.

:)

The more you think about it the the more you will remember it. Just forget it . Or try. Just enjoy yourself.

have somebody smack you upside the head with a baseball bat.

Unfortunately you can't ... you just have to learn to live with it or accept it .... it's a battle and a half, I know .... but especially when it's something bad that happened to you, you have to fight and not let them win.

stop thinking about it

Going out on a limb...is this something traumatic that you'd like to forget? If you're having a hard time with a traumatic event please ask someone for help. A counselor at school or a clergy person would be happy to listen.

if its just one thing you could have hypnosis. it gets harder to erase stuff that went on for a long time.

You pretend that you have cardboard box in front of you, put your problem into the box, really concentrate that you are doing this, then close the box and physically carry the box to the darkest corner of the loft leave it there and dont look back.

You can't delete something from your brain but with good counselling perhaps you can learn to come to terms with it in a way that you can handle and that is less unacceptable to you. I do sympathise with you. I have been there (and still am really) :-(.
