Hi, You probably live a very stressed up and busy life. I know that when I was working for a mobile phone co. I had so much to do and I really let a lot of things slip. So for starteres you may want to pace things out, take things at a slower pace even if it means getting a new job or changing your lifestyle.

You may also want to think about keeping and maintainnf a diary to jot down your thoughts and major happenings for the day so that you may review them as and when necessary..

Memory lapses to a certani extent have also a bearing on the state of your health. If you are in a good state of health , you will be alert and sharp and your mind will be able to retain and absorb information much readily. The maxim "A heathly body for a healthy mind" applies here . Here again, this realtes to looking at your lifestyle.

Hope this information helps you.

too much drugs.

We already answered that. Did you forget?

ooOO did yu get raped??

or yu got a near death experience

I'm sorry. What was the question?

I don't know, but I am the same way. I can remember yesterday, but can't really tell you everything I did from start to finish or even half of it, but I can remember things from when I was young like they were yesterday. Hope it is not a sign of Alzheimer's, I am only 38.

Nothing most people cant remmber when thier three

do some yoga it is really helpful. The process is tiring and time taking but after few days you will start feeling good, think better and tconcentrate on what you are or were doing.
best of luck

You, like everyone else have a lot of things going on. Try to imagine all the things you see on the way to work or school. Your mind has to be selective and just retain a couple of things (like breakfast or a new billboard). You saw a lot of other things but your mind has to file them away so you can focus on those that really affect you now.
You probably don't remember everything that happened when you were a child but you can remember a special day or event. That memory is reinforced by your own recollections of it. You may even add details to make the event more "genuine".
Considering what we do recall, what we forget is not much.

you havent given your age?
early onset dementia/alzheimers disease?

Basically your long term or "declarative" memory is intact, but your short term memory is limited. This is consistent with early stages of dementia and other cognitive problems. Do you have a mental illness or a neurological disorder?

I recommend you get some formal memory testing done by a health professional. Go to your local mental health clinic, or try and get tested by a psychologist, doctor or occupational therapist.

Your memory problems could be quite normal, as others have said. Some people just have worse memories than others. a formal test would help you realise if this problem is of clinical significance or just "normal" memory problems.

Good luck!

Well there could be different reasons. Some people are just wired to have very bad short term memory functions. My hubby is the same way. He can remember things from when he was little but can't remember things from 5 minutes ago.

In my case I have horrible memory because of a combination of depression, anxiety, past seizures and medications that affected my memory capacity...
