What is the healthy way to deal with pain?!


Question: physical and emotional? I have alimited budget. Also i'm not talking about limb loss or anything like that physically, and on th e emotional level i'm, looking for activities not just therapy.

Keep yourself busy, busy, busy. I recently had to overcome much emotional pain from my wife leaving me, and physical pain from a gun-shot wound that tore-up my hand. I was taking prescribed narcotic pain medications for two years to treat the nerve pain in my hand, though I also became reliant on it to numb my emotions. For the last 6 months though, I've discontinued the pain meds and diverted my full attention to work, hobbies, and helping other people. I hardly have time to think about my pain anymore, physical or otherwise. PS: alcohol will only make things worse in the long term.

Take calcium daily. Squeeze things with your hand. And if it gets really bad....a hot bath often works wonders.
