Why am I am not affected at all by caffeine?!

Question: I normally drink one cup of (with milk, not strong) instant coffee every morning, but otherwise I don't drink coffee for the rest of the day.
I tried what other girls in my year do when I needed to stay up to do some work, I drank coffee at 8pm.
At 9pm, I felt sleepy (I get attacks of tiredness that don't resolve unless I sleep, or I go outside, or I excercise, because of my medication's side-effects), so I had to sleep for 20 minutes.
I drank another, stronger coffee at 9.30pm.
I went to bed at 10.30pm.

If most people drink coffee at 8pm, they wouldn't sleep until 2am.

Can someone please give me a SCIENTIFIC reason for this? Or at least a good reason?

maybe you are takeing some medications that put a barrier on your brain..what's means....the caffeine is an opoide [stimulant] if you are takeing anti-depressors or insulin [diabetic]are drugs that are against the effects of caffeine...that's why you can sleep...don't matter if you take your coffe half hour before or 10 minuts.....your medications are like walls on your nervous system.

ok,

your body is only affected by a drug for a certain period of time before it adjusts and your body requires a larger dose of the drug to have the same effect.

Your body has adjusted to the caffiene levels... you would notice a SERIOUS difference if you didn't have anything with caffiene in it for a day.. you would feel like CRAP. Chances are you have a mild if not moderate addiction to the caffiene, so you will feel unaffected.

If you cut back on your regular, habit consumption and use it ONLY when you need it (mind you, you'll feel like you need it ALL THE TIME for the first week or so) you'll notice a difference.
