Does anyone know what this is? PLEASE I need help?!

Question: I'm 13. I obsess over words and numbers and can't get them out of floating in my head. I break down words in my head constantly etc. I just can't stop!! I also get very anxious very easily but am getting a lot better. All I have to do is watch the news and see something to do with global warming and think we're all goind to die. I think I have OCD but parents won't listen and say it's all in my mind. What's wrong with me and what do I do??

You need to trust in the lord.God made us and he does't want you to be unhappy. He wants you to be very happy and go with him to heavan. Nothing you can do will change the world. It's ok, Christ the messiah is the only one who can save us nad he paved the way to redemption. Penance can't absolve your sin, only the faith in God can.Find peace with your faith in god. He will give you evrything you need. Try charity or go to church. Charity is doing thy god's will on earth.Read Matthew 6:9 through 6:13. Say the words and pray in your heart and our father will answer.Peace with Christ.

It sounds to me like you want OCD.
You sound like you just read some symptoms that are easy to mimic.
People with OCD typically have related symptoms (if they are multiple at all).
You don't want to be on medication.

It sounds like OCD to me. Perhaps you can go to a grandparent or your father. Check out OCD on WebMD.com Please know this is more normal than you might think. It doesn't make you weird or strange but it does have a type of control on your mind. Seeking help with a psychologist and/or medical doctor will ease your mind some. There are things you can do. Good Luck

Try talking to your parents about it again. Try and get them to take you more seriously.

It sounds like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety to me. Its not normal, and you should talk to someone about it, a doctor maybe.

Penguin.... There is tricky word to get out of your head... Pen...Guin...

Could be O.C.D but who's to say im not a doctor. allthough i feel like that sometimes it could be a sign of paranoia dealing with deppression. Maybe talk to the school counsler or nurse they can have some advice. It could allso be all in your head, when you think you have something you eventually will. Just keep your self occupied with something elese that you like to like a hobby. best of luck to you...

you could go and see your school counselor. But the best thing to do is sit down with your parents and have a real heart to heart talk with them .You tell them the way you are feeling and tell them you are really concerned about yourself, ask them to please help you.You may have to be persistant about needing there help . We parents don`t want to believe that something could be wrong with our child.

JeSs.......take a piece of paper and write down all the things that is important to you.
name the top 10 people or things that you care the most about. then prioritize them. after you do this, go back and look at that list again. now dwell on how you can improve on that list. if your name isn't on that list, it should be.... in life, we must straighten our mind and body, along with knowledge, to be helpful to the people or things that we love most. while dissecting words and numbers aren't a bad thing in itself, we must place them on a list and in the right order........
wishing you the best....

A lot of people play word games, go ahead, indulge. Have you ever played sudoku? Great game. Your 13, you worry about things you don't fully understand and can't control. THAT'S NORMAL. Adolescense usually isn't easy. Try hanging out with your friends, pajama parties and other stuff you kids do. Enjoy being a kid!!

sounds like OCD with generalized anxiety disorder. Next time you go to your doc for something else, mention the symptoms you described above. He/she can refer you to a phychiatrist who can determine exactly what it is that is wrong with you and help you overcome it.

If your in school, go to your school counceler or nurse. and tell them whats going on. that def. sounds like OCD to me. i have OCD with numbers, i count every time i run up and down my stair case, and i hate odd numbers, every vol. on the tv or radio has to be on an odd number. there right, it is in your head, DUH! where else would it be, but its something you can control without help. if its serious enough for you that your bothered by it, then do what i say. mine isnt that serious. so i dont worry too much about it.
