LEXAPRO is not enought for Social anxiety disorder or (social phobia) is this TR!
Question: guyz ,, am sufurnig from social phobia and am taking LEXAPRO (this is my 3rd day with lexapro) and ive heard that lexapro dosent usually work with social phobia is this true :`( plz guyz i need help i want to end my pain

it could be enough for you. or may not be good for you at all. its different for everyone. if lexapro isn't good you could take paxil, zoloft, effexor, or celexa and on and on. some people need another anxiety drug with one of those if one of those aren't strong enough like xanax, ativan, valium or klonopin. those drugs work right away for you but are more addictive and are usually taken 2 or 3 times a day. the drugs like lexapro aren't addictive and they take some people 4-6 weeks to work so be a little more patient with this drug.
you listen to your doctor and you have to have it a month to find out i k now for fact is good med and you need to stop listening to others and find out for yourself. if it does not work then you can change but you have to give them awhile to find out.
I have been on Lexapro for 2 years now
You have to give it time I took me about 4 weeks to notice a change in my attitude.
But I am not sure about the social phobia
If you dont notice a difference a month see if your dr. Will change the it.
You can't tell anything after 3 days. It can take a couple weeks for it to take effect. It made me so sick though I couldn't last more than 4 days. Paxil has let me enjoy life again without any side effects. But then again, everyone is different. My advice is not to rush to judgment. Give it a shot.
