Why are people on this site so PARANOID?!

maybe people just want to use this site for answers and questions, not e-mails asking people to go into more detail about their question, when they dont want to
some of us are too lazy to check emails
Although the answers I give are (usually) genuine, thought-out answers, I like the anonymity of this site. Hence, nobody gets my email.
I'm pretty sure there is trouble with spam, in fact I think the entire internet is troubled by spam.

There's no spam problem cause it never gives the email.
They just dont understand it will never ever show your email on the site!

Well I allow E-Mails, I don't allow IM because I don't like instant messaging, I am anti-social. ^_^
Some people are just plain rude. If they don't like your answer (even if you're courteous and proven right), they will send you a really bad one to ruin your day.

Yes, there is often trouble with hate mail. Not everyone on this site is mentally stable and some people have been troubled with uncalled for mail, so have turned the facility off.
I had mine open for anyone to email me, until I started receiving harassing messages from users. I quickly put a stop to this. It has NOTHING to do with being antisocial.
But it's harassment, and it makes sense to turn that feature off to keep future users from sending me unnecessary emails.

I am just cautious as the world isn't the safest place anymore, anyone could harass and stalk me by just tracking me down over the net. I also don't want unsolicited emails from retailers of penis enlargement systems who got my email off this site if I posted it publicly!
Some people don't want any feedback on their answers. I think if you can't follow up on why you said the things you did, then you shouldn't say any thing. They can't get your actual email, they can only send a question through Yahoo, if you don't want to reply to what they asked you don't have to, that choice is up to you.
