Depressed over boredom?!


Question: For the past few years i have been playing an online game (bit sad i know) its made me really depressed and i just always feel sad, i've started to stop playing this game, but i got nothing else to do so i just go back to it? what else can i do?

I also get bored really easily and it feels depressing. I've found on days where I've gone for a long walk, done some exercise, cooking etc I've felt better. Maybe you could join something at your local leisure centre like tennis, swimming etc that might help. Also maybe find some hobby and do some walking, cycling etc.

I have the same problem too. Get out of the house, get a job. It helped me alot. Sitting at home alone on the computer all the time is a terrible feeling, get out as much as you can.

awww...come on, dont feel sad. why don't you come on Yahoo instead of your on-line game?...it's quite good fun on here & there are people all over the world who will answer your questions...& when they dont - you can answer theirs!!

Whatever you want to do. If you have friends get in touch with them and meet up. If you don't have friends then get some by starting something new. Look on the Internet and find a group or society in your area that looks good. There'll be loads about; a few that you'll find are, running, martial arts, team sports, painting/ photography, library's sometimes have poetry groups, role playing, volunteering.

Anything you want to do, you can do- just get off the computer and do it!

my nephew is going thru this now,,, he keeps telling everyone he is going back to skool but the months just keep flying by...........the only person who can change your life is you....

meet real people- it takes time and you wont feel like doing it but its your only hope- you can meet people as friends in the folowing places:

school
uni
college
work
voluntary work
the gym
clubs like running clubs, wine clubs, cycling clubs, childrens parents clubs, orchestras or bands, self help groups (though not really advised as friends, but can be if you break the rules!)

If all else fails, get a dog or cat, they can be great company, they like friends will give back what you give them.

If you have the patience, learning to play a musical instrument is good therapy for boredom.

there are millions of songs to be learned, played and sung.
