Do you think I'm to close to my mom?!
Question: I have always been a momy's girl never a daddy's girl. I love hanging out with my mom. We never get in fights and when we do we are joking. All my friends don't like there mom. Is it weird that a 18 year old woman is still very attached to her mom? My girlfriend finds it weird that I still need my mom. Is it?

No it's not weird at all. I'm the same way. I love my mom so much.

not at all! I am the exact same way! all my friends find it odd as well. i say go with what your heart tells you! don't change yourself just because someone else thinks that it is weird. why shouldn't you be a momy's girl?
I think its fantastic that you have such a close relationship. I'd love to have that with my mum! Most people don't have it and it's a real shame cos she's one of the only people who would always be there for you and really would do anything she could to make you happy. X
I think it's cool that you're that close to your mom. Not many women are.
I'm the mom of three daughters 32, 28 and 15. The oldest will always need me as a child becasue she's developmentally delayed but the other two and I are close, The middle one and I talk at least once a day and she moved out of the house almost 7 years ago. She close to me and to her sisters and I hope and pray that even when the younger two get married and have their own family's we will still be close.
Deep down your girlfriend is insecure. You should be thankful that you do have a great relationship with your mom. Many don't and wish they could. I am 39 yrs old and still wish I had been closer with my mom when I was younger. Now we are close and even at my age I still need my mom.
Treasure your mom and let her know how much she means to you and don't worry about your "friend".
I hope not-- I'm the same way. Back in high school, when my friends would get all annoyed with their moms and be real jerks when their moms were just trying to be nice, I never really yelled at or argued with mine.
Know this is great. I use to be a huge mommy's girl until I was 13 and went through a bad time. My mom made it a lot worse but she really didn't mean to. I would love to be a daddy's girl but I think I am neither XD usually as you get older you start respecting your parents more and understanding them I am sure. you just love your mom so much!
you sound like you actually have a good relation ship with your mom. Just don't get so attached that you can't like move out or anything.
