It is possible that the pain for which you were prescribed Zanaflex is actually psychological in origin. In this case, I wouldn't be surprised if relieving the pain would make the primary cause manifest itself.

I'd let your GP know what's going on - he or she may refer you to a psychiatrist. It's not uncommon for an affective disorder to cause physical pain. Psychiatric disorders do NOT mean that you're a bad person or don't have the willpower to get over it - they're REAL physiological problems that affect your brain and personality.

If you are withdrawing from Zanaflex then yes.
