Personality disorders, in general, are very difficult to treat. People grow and change, but personality is stable over time, so, by definition, someone with Histrionic Personality Disorder will have this problem for the rest of their life.
From what I know of it it is hard to descide if a woman has it or is just showing to much of a mothers instenct of protection. That is the problem in diagnosing it.
Any person who thinks they have it do not only the sick with it do not know they have it and have to be convinced they do.
