I think this world needs more people like you. I think you should go to college to do this work.

study psychology....mental disorders are pretty interesting...

People who got all crazy about treating crazy people.

Thats just Crazzzzzy!

It's because you haven't been to one yet. Once you see the metal detectors and smell the hospital food, you'll want to crawl back into bed and never leave your house.

Well if you're that interested then look into pursuing a career in the mental health field. However, maybe you could volunteer with your local mental health association to get a better understanding of what it truly is like to be around people who are suffering from mental illness. Your curiosity is only natural...mental disorders are truly interesting to learn about...I took psychology and I am glad I did :)

Psychology is fascinating. If I had the money I would love to go to a shrink as part of my daily routine. If your not in college yet you can take classes just because they interest you. I took three years of art therapy. That was interesting. Don't feel weird for wanting to discover more about yourself. Many people have very limited interest in who or how they are. Many of them are dull.

It's a strong interest. Nothing to worry about! I went through a similar phase of being interested in mental health issues etc. Maybe you should think of studying to be a psychologist or working with mentally ill people. If you're really interested then there are loads of different careers you can have. If you're not old enough to take psychology as a subject, perhaps you could ask for books instead.

I think it's cool that you're interested in mental health. It's an interesting subject and it's fun to study. The various psychiatric disorders are really interesting to study. There's lots of ways you could learn more about psychiatric disorders. Go to the library and check out books on psychiatric disorders. They will likely have lots of books on depression, anxiety, personality disorders, as well as many other topics related to mental health care. If you like watching movies, the movie "Girl, Interrupted," provides a fairly accurate portrayal of life in a psychiatric unit.

You don't mention how old you are, but you could you take psychology classes in either high school or college? Some high schools offer psychology and I think most colleges offer it as well. Perhaps you could do some volunteer work at a mental health facility in your area or arrange to job shadow someone that works in one so you can see what kind of work they do.

Keep studying this...I think you'll find it interesting. Hope this helps!

thats good, youre showing interest in a certain career. learn more, and you could be a psychiatrist one day.
