Drug addiction?!
Question: I use to do heroin been off it for awhile. five months now i been taking lortab pain killers. i cant seem to function without them. i am worried this may lead me back to heroin. is this possible? and any advice to stop using lortabs would be appreciated.

heroine is a hard habit to kick...and i give you mad props for doing so. ive never found painkillers hard to quit but i heard its really hard. yes, if your addicted to the pain killers, you will most likely go to heroine once you dont feel high enough because your bodies used to the painkillers. i would ween my way offa the painkillers...like cut your use in half...the do it again until youre finally off them. while your doing that, excersize!!!! it will make you feel so much better. i would also go and see a doctor if you cannot do this yourself. and my advice is to stay away from all drugs in the future because it seems you can get addicted to them and were already addicted.
visit your local NA meeting.
Taper yourself off of them and don't use them anymore. You are still feeding an addiction. You would probably benefit from a drug rehab program. I've never been to one, but I've heard that you can learn a lot of things about coping skills and receive some much needed support. You've got to learn how to function without the lortabs.
