If you still look like your picture I do not think you are fat. Why would a school do something like that? It is none of their business what your weight is. What did your parents have to say about the note? If you were my child I would be at that school the minute the doors opened in the morning. What are the suggesting...Anorexia. Please honey ignore the ignorant. As long as you are comfortable with yourself who else matters. You look fine to me. Chin up dear, they are all ignorant.

you are not fat dont let others bring u down

I find it terrible that a school would be sending home letters like this! Talk about a way of giving young people poor self esteem. I looked at the picture you attached to your question and you are certainly not fat. You look great!

What specifically does this note say ?

You look like an athlete, toned and healthy.
Stay well and don't let anyone mess around
with your sense of self.
Stop crying too, it will make your eyes
puffy!

if you're eating healthy and exercising (cheering looks like crazy hard work), then don't worry, keep it up, and burn that pathetic notice the hell up. don't let it get to you. that sounds like the school's problem, not yours. also, you look pretty cute in that picture.

Is that even legal!!! I looked at your picture and you are fine - sure you don't have a perfect body, oh my go the world will now come to a crashing halt - oh wait! Yeah a good average range for someone who is 5'3 is 115 - 120 lbs but so what. Muscle weighs more than fat so you should find out what your fat percentage is that is what really matters. Don't let the man(your school) bring you down. If you are happy with YOUR BODY and healthy then that note doesn't matter! Best of luck and you are not crazy!

you are not fat.
your school is pretty bogus to say stuff like that.
don't listen to them.

what school would do a thing like that ???

you look mighty healthy & fit & toned

ask about suing the school for emotional trauma

You are not fat - what kind of crazy school would send a note home like that when you are not even fat and even if you WERE how could they justify doing such a thing?

This has to be illegal for them to do. Tell your parents to contact the school board and find out if this is even legal. I'm positive it's not!

OK first of all your not fat.. you look great!!! And is it even legal for a school to do that? I know that if my stepdaughter got a letter in the mail from school saying that she was "fat" I would go ballistic on the school!! I would march my fat *** in there and show them what fat was!!! whew sorry .... got carried away... stop crying!! you look fine.....

Family Doctor's Experience:

Your body mass index is 24.3.

And Normal weight = 18.5-24.9. So, your weight is currently normal, and a few pounds would help. Lose weight slowly and not too much, don't rush it because your body needs time to adjust.

If you weighed 135, your BMI would be 23.9, which is still in normal weight range.

You look great. I'm 32, 5'0 and about the same weight as you and my husband thinks i have a great body. Don't worry about it. That note was unnecessary. You have no need to be concern and if you are active right now, even less of a reason to be concerned.

You sure don't look fat to me.

I think you look fine. My niece (she's 7 years old) got one of those notes from school and she's not heavy either. Those notes are ridiculous. My poor niece was so upset that she didn't want to eat her dinner anymore and was just picking at her food. My sister and brother-in-law had a real tough time with her about it for a long time. So, take that note, crumble it up into a ball, and throw it out!

Whoever was responsible for sending that note home needs more educating! People like them giving people like you the impression that you are fat is what adds to people becoming anorexic & trying to look like all the stars & models out there. They're responsible for giving normal shaped girls the impression there's something wrong with them which effects their self-esteem, they try to encourage people to be someone they're not. This kind of pressure on young girls today to be too skinny is unrealistic. You are not overweight! You look fine. Do not let the opinion of others effect your self-esteem. As you said, you're active & if you eat a well balanced diet then you will not gain weight. Skinny girls are at much the same risk of having health problems as obese people. Be proud of who you are & don't listen to the stupid note!

OMG, it looks like your school is encouraging kids to now have eating disorders. To me this is degrading and very disturbing for a school to d o that.
Of course you are NOT fat. You are perfect, and really it matters more about how you feel about yourself on the inside .
They do not have a right to try and make you feel ashamed about your weight. Your perfect.
I hope your mom gets pissed off at the school for such a ridiculous letter.
