Oh come on bro! The fact that you're alive and kicking shows that you do have a life after all. Think of yourself as being fortunate and lucky, able to bum around all day and sitting in front of the computer for hours....you are more fortunate than most people. Think of the homeless, the poor and those starving on the streets...look out for these people and do some good....that's how you get a life!

ME too,,,GOOD luck to both us....

Wash windows. Good cash income, and you'll see cool stuff.
.

push yourself away from your computer, throw the pills in the garbage, make yourself presentable and physically go fill out applications. that is the best way to get hired.

If your a bum how do you have a computer but it's hard to get a job these days with out education.

work out a lot, then you will have the extra energy and presence of mind to do a lot more.

Get off the meds, they really **** you up. Trust me. Getting a job isn't just going to the agencies a couple of times a month. You have to go every day and GET one. I hated it too, in fact I only got my job a week ago. You want a life? Get up, and go get one.

im just like that now, waiting to go to college in the fall, have my debts to pay off from doing miserable last semester (took a course that was not for me) cant get a job, feel like crap, but you know, thats life, and sometimes you get in ruts, but you just have to keep trying, maybe do some volunteer work until you get a job
it will give you a sense of purpose and help you with your resume

James, have you tried keeping a journal, or doing some other form of writing?

the computer is the worst way to find a job.
you just end up wasting your time and becoming distracted when you could be finding a job.
your best bet is going outside.
remember: the only way of getting something done is DOING IT (without any shortcuts)

hmm yur problem is rely serius........i think thet u must find a job...MUST......dont tell to your self thet u cant....u CAN !!!!

once u have a job....start think about seriusly things....and u must have a limit about computer....tell jurself thet u will be on computer only ..i dont now...1h ?!?!?

and start making some new frends.
it help a lot (i think) if u change location where u live.....

i hope u will solve it...good luck

first of all stop taking those damn pills they will only set you in a deeper state of depression and prolong your already procrastinating tendencies

Keep trying for a job. Its worth it.

You will soon be busy...enjoy this interval!

Go outside. Are you applying for jobs online? Sometimes that is a bunch of crap. I tried that and it didn't work out for me. Get a newspaper and call the places or just go there. Try telemarketing? Computer skills needed for that. Also, how long has it been since your last job? If it's been like over 6 months, employers don't like that. They like to see a consistent work history. I know that probably doesn't help you much. But seriously, leave the house and go apply for something in person. You may have to get a regular manual labor job, but that actually might be good for you on several levels. Good luck. Peace.

you need to focus on getting better now and not getting a job..Do something productive with your day..ie do some voluntary work, go for walks..learn something by doing a little course..that way you will feel better in yourself, re-gain your self esteem and if your learn something then employers will be interested. You will keep spirralling into depression if you sit all day thinking that you are a bum..get off your bum and sort it out..slowly

Instead of sitting home all day go out to the places were you would by interested in working and ask if there are any openings. May be you need to improve some of your skills and go back to school. Also try exercising this may help you with your depression.

Get off the computer. Plan your day - 7-8 am get up, take a shower, eat breakfast. 8-10 walk for 30 minutes, clean the house, 10-2 search for a job, 2-5 job search, chores, errands, 5-7 walk for 30 minutes, make dinner. The rest of the evening is yours. Set a schedule and stick to it. The exercise will make you feel better and help with the depression and fill your time so you are not on the computer goofing off all day. Take any job that is offered, just to get working and get in the habit. Once you have a job, you can find a better one. Also, try to add some fun in once a week. I joined a clay class once and week and go out with the Red Hat Society once a month because I was feeling like I had no life and didn't do anything with real people. Here it is, almost Feb. and I do feel better for adding those things to my life. Good luck.

Ha! yeah just keep trying.

Don't give up and keep looking. Have you tried Wall mart they are always hiring and MacDonald's. I know they might not be the kind of jobs you want, but it is always easier to find a job when you have a job.

Good luck, just keep on keeping on and you will be fine.

its hard to break that monotonous lifestyle. believe me I know - my brother in law is going through a similar scenario.

Best thing to do is make yourself go out and interact with different people otherwise you will forget how to COMMUNICATE. if you dont have many friends make it an effort to talk to someone through a club, cafe anything!

this sounds very extreme but computers take verbal communication skills away from people who are isolated or to those who are computer abusers.

as for a job, find something that is "beneath" your standards just to get yourself working again. For instance I know cleaning isnt the most glamorous of jobs, but it WILL pay, it WILL get you out of the house, it WILL put another reference to your resume, it WILL update your work history and you WILL aquire new and recent skills. After a while you can apply for a position that is more suiting for/to you.

Depression pills are a big nono. They really mess you up and eventually become very addictive as you become use to feeling dull rather than normal. Make sure you dont neglect yourself just because you are using the computer too much. Personal hygiene i.e. style your hair, brush your teeth have breakfast ect. and showering should happen EVERYDAY otherwise this will get you depressed as you will not be feeling confident or happy with yourself. Look after yourself

Good luck

Man o Man you got that down pat the I AM part

What about the I CAN BE part

If you tell yourself you look like sch_t when you look in a mirror you will look like a turd

If you say I can not what ever it is You Will Not do it

You are what you say you are. You make the person you WANT to be

So go into the bathroom and look at your self and say
man you are a New Bread of Nerd
look at that ugly puss
man I wouldn't even want to have it
That fuc(er should get a head amputation
Na It would be to much of an improvement
Keep it the Guniss world book would want a picture of it
And then look and say what profile shows the worst of the good in me.

Ahh I know I'll moon myself
Bend over and show it and say man that is an improvement
all i have to do is get a set of eyes a nose no the crack is that and a mouth tattooed on it

Then stand up pull up your pants and start to laugh
Now you are on the path to seeing a new you one that can look at the bad in yourself and laugh at it
--------------------
While you are laughing look at that face in the mirror
---------------------
Think like this when ever you get down and you will draw a smile to your face

Thinking the day in the bathroom I drooped my dewars and mooned myself and thought of getting a tattoo on my but

why dont you do some house hold work? The more you work more u will become interested in it and this is the one work which has no limit.

At times it's difficult to find a job. Also looking for a job is a full time job. Don't give up, persevere and you will find something eventually.
