Put my mind at ease about a mouse!!?!

Question: In October there was a mouse in my room in college but the room was checked a holes filled up.My dad checked the flat after and traps put down. But this morning my flat mate got up and there was a mouse in the trap, there has been no sign of a mouse in the flat the last couple of weeks/months until this morning so we think it got in someother way.My dad was over picking me up and checked the place and found a whole in the bathroom and another hole in the cupboard on the celin. So my dad thinks it came in the hole in the bathroom cause i went to the bathroom before i went to sleep and didnt clothes the door properly. There doesnt seem to be any where else it got in, cause there is a brush thing on the bottom of the door goin into the flat! I check my room every nite since the first time we saw the mouse and there has been no dropping or anything in my room cause it was in my room the last time but it left again without being caught!
Can you please tell me wat you all think!

If your dad has filled all the holes and you no longer see mouse droppings, it is unlikely that you will see more mice. My first appartment had signs of rodents (never saw one) so I filled all the holes with wire pads (like brillo) and never had any problems again. :)

Don't worry they don't eat much.

hey did you hear theres a russian sattelite thats going to crash into the earth in the next few days, it has a 1 in 4 chance of hitting land. try worring about that instead of some little insignificant rodent.

Relax, you outweigh the poor thing a thousand to one. I hate to tell you but nearly all building have mice. I tear out walls in homes for a living and it's rare to not see mouse droppings.

Hey, come on, the worst thing that will happen is the both of you coming down with the plague.

Call the college and tell them about the holes. Keep putting traps out. If you trap another one, find someone willing to pick up the trap and mouse together to put in a trash chute, if you can't stand to do it. (JPut on rubber gloves, then just take a few pages froma newspaper, and wrap it around trap and mouse. You can put the bundle in a bag, or just take it as it to a trash chute. Don't leave it in a wastepaper basket.)

If you do see droppings, use rubber gloves when you clean it up, then clean thoroughly the area the droppings were on. Wash your hands thoroughly, even if you use gloves.

Complain to the building management.
Make your room unattractive to the mice by keeping food in plastic containers and not leaving crumbs to attract them. Keep traps set.
Try not to let the little pests stress you out.

Sorry, but your best bet is mouse traps until you can be sure you got them. If your dad has plugged all the holes he can find I'd say that's the best you can do for now. Unless you want a cat.

OMG My sister has had the same problem but to meke it even worse she has got wooden floor (floorboards). She has bought traps and poisen and the last thing she bought was sticky traps as last resort as the other things did not work. She has caught lots in the sticky traps and when the run onto them they obviously stick but once stuck they can never get off so..... They chew there legs off and bleed to death. They are not very humain but hey they are like rats, they carry deseases and dirt around with them. And remember if you have one you probably have lots. If you have a wouden floor demand that the college take proffesional advice and get them to fumagate the flat. But my advice is the sticky pads but the only thing you may have to deal with is you might catch them alive on the sticky trap so just drop the in a water bucket and drown them kk. Hope this answered your question thanx for taking some time to read this :-)
