Another odd question. about anxiety and a weird phobia?!

Question: i have major anxiety/panic attacks and whenever i want to try to relax people say to take time to yourself and get your mind together. something like that. and to take a bubble bath to relax. except even though i used to love doing that because it was so relaxing, i've developed an out-of-no-where phobia of bathtubs and drains. can this be because of my anxiety/panic?

now whenever i get a panic attack (which is often) i run.
like, i'll run outside. i completely freak out and litteraly run it off.
whenever i think i'm about to have a heart attack or something i start running.

i also have frequent depression and quite a few breakdowns.

what should i do about all of this? :x

I have panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. My advice to you is to definitely get a therapist. That has helped me tremendously. Secondly, think positive. It may sound stupid, but that was one thing that my therapist really worked with me at and that has helped me 1 million percent. When you find yourself thinking those thoughts that lead to a panic attack, immediately dismiss them and focus on a happy memory or lacking that, a picture on the wall, anything except those dark thoughts. It took me a long time, but now when I feel that panic start to build, I just laugh it off, focus my mind on something else, and because of this, I haven't had a panic attack or severe anxiety in over 4 months, (knock on wood) which is abnormal for me.

see a pychiatrist about this. They will have useful info on how to treat this before it gets worse. It is treatable.

Try EFT. I can teach it to you or you can learn it online. It is accupressure based. It looks weird but it does work. I was saved from six years of anxiety attacks by it and they never came back. I am a qualified teacher so I'll help you out, or you can check it out online. Try YouTube and you'll see what it looks like. It *is* odd, but who cares because it works and nobody has to see you do it.

yes your phobia is most likely from your anxiety. you should still try to relax...like go somewhere quiet and just chill there for a couple of minutes or until you feel comfortable and not feeling anxious.
