Do you deal with stress differently that your parents do/did? If so, how?!


Question: I think I do things alot like my mom did.
Except...some times I cry more, and say things I shouldn't...not particularly to others...just swear alot to myself...and carry on in private!
I am just a little evil!

nope i am my fathers daughter. nothing is wrong outwardly but inside im screaming. then i break.like pmt on a massive scale

I deal with stress very differently than my parents - and most family members.
They prefer to shout and scream, and release 'steam' that way.
Where as I find I am less stressed about a certain situation when I have had a cup of coffee, and a chat with someone close to me.

If I am very very stressed I will take a relaxing bath and have some hot tea afterwards. While i have my relaxation time i clear my head from all the bad things. Once im done i just try to have a good day the rest of the day. When I wake up in the morning I just think about what I need to acomplish today and things like that. I try to aviod all the drama and stress after that. I just pretty much lay in bed for maybe five minutes after I normally get up and plan out how I am going to acomplish my day.

I do not think dealing defferently is the answer, but finding the real cause of your stress, and deal with it accordingly.
However, relaxation and meditation is an easy, free way to help yourself to deal with stress.
