I have been looking at the drug Zoloft for my social anxiety- do you have any ex!

Question: Have you found Zoloft to be effective for this? Or if you've used Zoloft for other causes, like depression, did this help you with that?

I love that small little blue pill. When i was on it i was the happiest i ever was, i took it for 'depression'. Zoloft really worked wonders, during the time i took it my grades imrpoved, i was less anxious and wobbly legged. I was alert, focused and happy. You should go for zoloft no doubt in my mind. Also i didn't get addicted, even though i have an addictive personality.

Before you do get zoloft, make sure you know the down sides because i only got upsides, some people must have gotten negative side affects, for more information talk to your doctor/psychiatrist.

I am on zoloft for depression and anxiety. I've found it to help little with anxiety and much with depression. Good Luck

yes it is good but you have to have a doctor with you and ask those questions to them. that is something you need to talk about to him and you both decide about it. take care.

for anxiety... get bars.. xanax best thing and drink a beer with one when u take it... lmao u wont remember ****

I was on Zoloft for depression, and it didn't work at all for me.

I take it for depression. It didn't do anything for my anxiety. I had to take xanax for that.

yes! i take zoloft everyday! because i have anxiety as well! and it really works! i would recommend it!

don't take a poll - Consult a heath care professional.

mild .

No, I take Lexapro and love it. I have anxiety and certain meds for depression cause depression, but Lexapro is awesome.

yes it worked for me, i do still have symptoms every now and then, but, i have become a whole new person. I take 150mg per day and i would recommend it.
also i would warn you against paxil, nothing but bad side effects for me, and it turned me into a zombie.

Apparently this is the new cure all drug of choice for doctors. I have a mother on it to help with hot flashes, a girlfriend on it to help with PMDD and my brothers girlfriend on it for something else they are all fine.

yes it helps with depression also it messes with your sleeping habits, you have to figure out which is the best time to take it, it takes a few days for you to start feeling a change, also it nakes you not want to eat for a few days also at first

I am taking Zoloft for a panic disorder. It's worked miracles for me. I went from constant fear verging on agoraphobia to a fully functional person. I still have a little anxiety, but it's at a level I can definitely live with.

I used Zoloft for years for my depression. It helped tremendously along with therapy. I did find it helped with anxiety in social situations; maybe because I was no longer depressed and less self-concious and anxious.

Please use it under a doctor's full supervision. When I finally got off it, I did so in incrementally smaller doses and had some slight withdrawal symptoms like nausea and dizziness. Nonetheless, the long-term benefits far outweighed the slight discomfort of getting off it.

Zoloft wasn't effective for me for anxiety, and I don't have depression, so I can't really speak for that. I currently take Celexa, but have taken Lexapro and it worked just as well. Your doctor will end up prescribing ou what he/she thinks is best for your symptoms. Once you find the right thing, though, it is amazing!

Pretty good medicine. Basically for depression and change of moods. Must be taken for atleast 8 weeks to feel the effect. You might increase your appetite.

Very close to sertaline.

I used Zoloft for depression, and it made me manic and anxious. Suffice it to say, I wasn't on it for long.

I hope it works better for you.

Hello,
Is there a way you can find something else without resorting to drugs?

Tried Zoloft - had bad side effects - - not terrible, but it really didn't work for me. Everyone is different - - I have tried many - the only one that has worked for me was Lexapro - SO helped with depression and anxiety - you really need to speak with your Dr. to discuss ALL options......... is it just anxiety? Depression involved? You should really discuss all your feelings with your Dr. so they can prescribe correctly.
Good Luck!!
