Why does it feel like I'm getting nowhere?!

Question: I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I'm 21 and I still live at home because I dropped out of college (couldn't afford it) and work part time retail. I can't drive so I can't get a better job. I have little over $100 in savings. My monthly income is only approx $800 and with a 1 bed apartment costing $700 a month, its nearly impossible to move out into my own place. I've never had a boyfriend in my life (don't really know why, I'm willing but not desperate). I want to go back to school but I can't afford it and I don't know what I want to do. I know that I have always wanted to start my own business, but that takes a lot more money than I have. I also want to write a book, I'm about 1/4 of the way finished with it, but experiencing a block that is more or less directly associated with this rut my life is in. I really want to travel, but due to the fact that I'm near broke with more bills than is fair at my age. What can I do to get out of this rut? I feel like my life is going nowhere...

one day at a time..weve all been in a rut find ahobby thats inexspensive or volunteer..thats a good way to meet people...then once you feel better maybe look for a roommate theres lots of ads in the paers for roommates to split rent...your young your just starting..look for the sunshine..

You are not alone in this situation!! I have been there from time to time.............its called the ups and down of life!!! You have your head already on a swivel and that's good. Don't put to many things in the finishing furnace just yet!!
I would suggest a redirection on what to start with. firstly, get into school, you don't earn enough and so you can apply through FAFSA for loans and grants, you will get approved!! Decide strongly on a major that will not be a distraction from your passion to complete your book. All this is going to be a journey...think it through and make it happen, you Can do it, you sound very smart.
When the ball is rolling, maybe in your sophomore year or another year plus, start looking into a business to support you while you do your writing after graduation from college. You still have a good stepping stone in your life, a parents home to live in while you find your footing!! It could always be worse...trust me!! We can only aspire as much as we are able to dream, be the best you can. It's your own ambition that will lead to your great success, good-luck and do ask if you run into any difficulty, ( don't ever settle for impossible!!)
