Depression can decrease the desire to eat.

However, so can a host of many illnesses.
A friend of mine lost a lot of wt. because she was not hungry and it turned out she had a serious illness.

It is probably best to go to your family doctor and explain your symtoms. He may want to run some blood tests or other studies to rule out any physical conditions.

If everything returns as negative, then more then likely it will be Depression. If the symptoms persist, you may want to consider medication.

It does not sound like Anorexia Nervosa. Those individuals purposely starve themselves.

this is a common symptom of depression. I would go see my general practitioner first and then get a referral. This also may be an eating disorder. I am not sure of the name, but I know that you lose your appetite for no apparent reason. Talk to the doc, he can help you with this one much better than I can.

its a symptom of depression. i was the same way 5 years ago. i quiet eating for 3 days and no sleep. i was very stressed out. i see a doctor before it gets more worse.
