Even though it is specifically stated in the Geneva convention that a prisoner not be forced to watch Simmons, I think it still numbers as one of the many US government violations. At least they don't have to listen to a best of Vanilla Ice album...or do they?

I'm not sure of what the CIA does, but I know for sure that I wouldn't want anyone to do the things that they do to their prisoners, to me.
Some of the big USA politicians say that the methods that are used are not torture, but I'll bet that if any of their own children were captured by some group and were treated in the same manner, then they would definitely say that their kids had been tortured.
I think that it is sad that the USA has stooped so low to treat prisoners in such ways.
I have read that the CIA sometimes does not do the actual torture themselves, but stand by and watch and direct secret policemen from allied countries do the dirty work. That way they can say that "we" do not torture. That is why prisoners are sent to secret interrogation jails in foreign countries." Rendition" is what it is called.
