The use of SSRI's with PTSD?!

Question: Anyone found the use of anti depressants stopped all or most of the symptoms? Or have they been useless. I do feel less anxious on them.

They are useless. I have chronic severe post traumatic stress disorder. I've been on prozac and citalopram. I am also bipolar. The medications that have worked for me are a mood stabaliser (sodium valproate) and antipsychotics (chlorpromazine and olanzapine). Hope this helps, I know that PTSD can be hell. Chlorpromazine is really effective in reducing flashbacks ^_^ All the best
