He finds it easy to switch his emotions on and off at will. Is something 'wr!

Question: My friend is currently in love with someone who doesn't return his affections. He's been having a hard time lately since they're very close friends and she'll be getting married in the next few days.

Today while driving on the road in tears, he decided to pull to a stop before reaching the traffic lights---not wanting to be seen in that state.

He says he was able to turn off his emotions at will---switch off his feelings altogether and continue his journey home. Apparently this has happened before in other instances and he thinks something might be wrong psychologically.

What happened if anything and---if so---is it something to be concerned about?

I stared at the screen for a long time after this one...
Most definitely there is something going on, but I think the only way to really find out what's going on, is to go to a doctor, and tell them exactly what was written here.

Asking for help from a pro would be best right now..
I wish I had more to tell you....
