My Mom is so !@#$$$%%%?!
Question: My moms a little on the slow side..and the stupid side..i love her to death but she has issues shes addicted to pain killers and sleeps like 15 hours a day She Lies alot about everything more over exgerating the truth its anooying b/c she makes a fool of her self.Like i said shes not smart im no lieing she has like 0 common sense but she still inist shes right..Shes always sick...and she injoys the attention and she likes going in the hospital..and she always tells every how sick she is with her dibeates and yet she eats bags of candy..She will go up to a complete stranger and tell them about her life and they dont care...and shes really embaraasing to take in public..im 16 and this isnt a normal mom/teenager thing.. my older sister and my dad say the same things..plus she wears the same outfit for like a week stright even though she has other cloths.she honestly looks like a patint from a mental ward and she acts like one sometimes.i dont ever remeber her being like..this what do i do

Her odd behaviors are most likely used to her usage of pain killers...could she be mixing these pain killers with alcohol or sleeping medications? Pain killers are very addictive and have adverse effects on the brain, especially after prolonged usage. Some people actually suffer permanent memory loss from pain killer abuse.
I recommend you take care of yourself first. You are very young to be dealing with a mom who is more like your own child. Take care of yourself and try not to worry about your mom and her problems. Don't depend on her for anything! Addicts are not dependable. No matter how much she loves you, she will feed her habit first and is probably in no mental condition to even be trusted to pick you up when you need her to. Fortunately you are 16 and will soon be an adult. I recommend you deal with her the least you can. Love her as your mom, but don't expect anything from her. I know it hurts, but honey there is nothing you can do for her that will make a difference.
tell her to get a grip on things.
talk to her for a LLOOONGG time & be like, can you be completely honest with yourself & say that you're leading a normaly, healthy life? are you setting a good example for your children?

It seems like she has some problems and needs help dealing with them. I suggest you talk to her and let her explain to you her life. Maybe she wants to open up to someone and explain her problems.,,,,,....the reality of this world is that sometimes we all need a little help. It is so difficult to get help because no one wants to offer kindness or an ear. So people turn to drugs in hopes that it will make them forget.
Sounds like my mom except i'm (a young) 37 and my mom is like 65. But OMG, I remember being a teenager. She is so embarrasing and talks non stop to me or whoever is nearby. We never had a normal relationship either. You kinda have to find other "mom" type folks to lean on. My friend's moms were a Godsend!

True you mother has a problem, but until she admits there is a problem there is nothing you can do.
My mother was like this my entire life (I am over 50 years old) up until she passed away last year. Even when she was on her death bed she played every one (including the nurses) for attention.
After my father died over 10 years before her, she just got worse.
You can't just turn your back on her because she is you mother. My mother destroyed our family and then laughed about it. I don't know what to tell you to make it better.
If she won't seek help to change then you need to seek help to deal with it.

If shes addicted to pain killers, eating things that can be dangerous with her diabetes, and enjoys going to the hospital it sounds like she may need some professional help. You might want to talk to others in your family about this because it sounds like it could turn into a serious problem very soon.
