My sister is seriously obese and I don't know how to help her?!

Question: My sister is 5'9 and weighs over three hundred pounds. She does not want to do anything about her weight. Her weight is keeping her from getting jobs, and hurting her parenting skills. Her son is small and on the go and she can't keep up with him. I feel really bad for her, but don't know how to help. What can I do?

One night plan a special talk. Show pics and videos of stuff like that!

there is nothing you can do if she don't want to try to help her self..you could try to get her to join the gym with you

Be there for her, at this point she's pretty much given up on things and is determined that she's always going to be this way. Where's the baby's daddy? More than likely, he's gone off to seek slimmer conquests. She needs to seek medical help, otherwise, you're going to be raising your nephew.

they need to learn how to eat. did you ever go over there for dinner? i bet it looks like they are cooking for thanksgiving all the time. i dated a girl ,her sister and her husband were like this,we went for dinner, they didnt stop eating for 2 hours. it was nuts..the moral...PUT DOWN THE FORK!!!!!!

My best friend was morbidly obese, and at 35 her doctors told her that if she didn't do something ASAP, she would be dead in less than a year.
So, she had gastric bypass, and a year later, she is healthy, full of energy, and has lost nearly 170 pounds.

You can't help her if she doesn't want to be helped. I am 5'6 and over 400 pounds. I love my fat and don't want to change. There are plenty of us obese people who love being the way we are. She may feel the same. If so you should stop worrying. If she does want to change however perhaps suggest going swimming or for walks together.
