Question: I am BiPolar (well at the moment) and feel totally exhausted from doing the absolute minimum - getting dressed, having a shower, etc etc.
My mind is very busy though ...

i have fibermyalgia and it sounds like the same thing.....it is neurogical...some days all i can do it get up.....the drs just started me on some medication for it...there are no tests ti tell if you have it but a person just aches..part of it is not sleeping well....

your medication needs adjusting. when did you last see your doctor?

take a bath and sleep for a few hours recharge the batteries you are over working yourself, slow down life is too short to be in the fast lane, its worth taking your time otherwise you will burn out and make to many errors.

If you're mind is TOO busy, you might want to try a herb called tulsi (also known as holy basil), or phosphatidyl choline. Both have been known to stop racing thoughts almost immediately. I would try phosphatidyl choline first though as it has a better track record with bipolar individuals.

I also STRONGLY recommend that you check into a supplement called EMPowerPlus, which has a proven track record in treating bipolar, without the negative side effects of pharmaceutical drugs. I have been stable on this product for almost 2 years now and have none of the side effects that I used to experience with drugs. The staff at TrueHope are very helpful and guided me step by step, day by day, in withdrawing from the drugs I was on so I experienced as little withdrawal symptoms as possible. I used to score in the 30's on the self-evaluation bipolar test, and I am now at ZERO most days, which is something I never would have thought possible. My life today is happier and more 'normal' than I ever would have thought possible, and I do have all the energy I need to live it!

This is certainly not the answer for everyone, but I do recommend you at least check into it.

what is his diet like?
what exercise is he getting for 15-60 minutes per day?
what relaxation techniques is he practicing twice daily 20 minutes each session?

address these and the original causes and conditions of his OCD and it will STOP.

I am a therapist in Colorado.
