Has anyone gained weight while using zoloft?!

Question: Some antidepressants do cause weight gain but just because it's a side-effect that doesn't mean every person taking them will experience weight gain - just some will. I have had weight gain on one antidepressant in the past (sorry, but I don't remember the name of it) and found out that when you stop the medication (only under a doctor's supervision as just stopping some antidepressants cold-turkey can cause seizures) the weight falls off effortlessly. It seems rather cruel that you need antidepressants and then they make you gain weight, so you're even more unhappy about life...
BTW, another antidepressant I took caused anything I sweated on to be permanently stained pink, and some women experience uncontrollable cracking of their heels - go figure!

YES! i i gained about 40 pounds on it. and since im a teenage girl, that was hard

im off it now but i can get the weight off ugh!

10 pounds!

You know, I was wondering this to myself today.

I have been on zoloft for 3 years approx, and I have put on weight in the last few months. About a year ago I went up to a higher dose, required for OCD, and while its helped tremedously by almost getting rid of the OCD, I cant help but think its caused me to gain a little gut.

I try to eat decent, I do like alchohol and beer, and I do go to the gym.

It could be just age, im almost 26! but still - i think it can cause weight gain yes, or atleast slow down your metabolism a little
